Book Summary: Seven Days In June by Tia Williams

After falling in love for seven days, then forgetting for fifteen, and finally getting it back after seven days…

Eva and Shane surprisingly met at a library event. No one knows that Eva and Shane spent their teenage years as one crazy and intense week completely in love twenty years ago. They both raised their past buried traumas and the eyebrows of the New York black department.

Although they were trying to pretend that they did not know each other, they could not deny their chemistry. Furthermore, they ignored the fact that they have been secretly writing to each other in their books since they left each other.

Over the next seven days, Eva and Shane recombine amid a hot Brooklyn summer. When Eva was brokenhearted once, she wasn’t sure how to trust him again. She must get him out of New York for her life to return to normal. But Shane has a few questions she needs to answer before he disappears.

My Thoughts on Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

Throughout the book, I believe the 12-year-old daughter, advanced and wise beyond her years, is the real protagonist. Despite her age, she is often smarter than any adult in the room, bringing warmth to the page. In addition, Eva and Shane worked hard to survive and thrive and push the novel forward.

It is also important to mention that Eva suffers from a chronic disease that makes her life quite complicated at times; however, you will see how she can accomplish the goals she has set for herself.

There is more to it than a love story because it is about surviving in this messy world and accepting yourself for who you are, even with all your imperfections, because nothing in this world is perfect. It is the craziest thing we can do to live with imperfection, but not that we should stop ourselves from growing because no one is perfect.

That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard from stupid people.

Rating For Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

In my opinion, this book deserves 4.3/5 stars.
