With over 20 years of expertise as a transformational coach and leadership consultant, Rachel E. Turner is known as the “Founder Whisperer.” Before turning 25, she and her then-partner Carl Cox founded five lucrative dance music businesses, launching her career in the music business.

This book helped me recognize the demands that the company, its employees, and its stakeholders are making of us at various stages of development and modify one’s leadership style accordingly. It helped me Learn the difference between communicating to manage and communicating to influence and when to utilize both.
My major takeaway was, “Keep your energy level high so you can run a marathon, not a sprint.” It also warned to avoid self-defeating ego defenses that can stifle even the most motivating entrepreneur.
What Did I Think of This Book?
Rachel does a fantastic job when outlining what the company expects of you as it grows. As no other book has before, this one engages my thoughts. All I want from a good book is for it to cause me to think differently. The founder has a wealth of knowledge.
This book has a way of taking big, intimidating business principles that are necessary for success and making them palatable and implementable while remaining fascinating throughout.
