Book Review: This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens

The Times Next Year by Sophie Cousens takes place in London on a New year eve, two strangers on their mutual thirteenth birthday completely from different worlds discovered that many times their paths almost crossed before when they were only born in the same hospital, one minute apart. Their lives may begin together, yet their roads couldn't be different. Without knowing it thirty years later when they exist together at the same place, at the same time. What happens when they meet after 30 years at this new year party. Is that fate that is trying to bring them together?

Do you believe in luck? Or do you think you make your luck, and there’s a little bit of destiny going on with it? Well, all these questions have an answer in the novel whether one can be born unlucky or whether luck is something that you make for yourself. This time I am reviewing a novel named This time next year by Sophie Cousens where crossed lovers are meant to be together with a real sense of fate that goes throughout the book on new year’s eve.

The novel centred around many issues where one of the centrepieces is the notion of luck being born lucky or not lucky. This love story creates a very fine line between cheese and beauty, undercutting it with humor that you might not expect. The novel is prepared within the most lovey-dovey times of the year, the new year party.

So without wasting your curiosity for knowing more about the novel, let’s further directly jump to the summary of the novel.

My thoughts on This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens

It’s a slow-building romance novel as much as it’s about self-discovery as it is about a love story. Both the characters fits very well in this story. There are many fun sets of characters. Some are weird, and some are colorful, some are anxious. This book is a perfect light read and exactly what you want on holiday.

The way Quinn bonds with Tara and just by having a healthy relationship Tara’s anxiety reduces and her health gets better. This shows the importance of family and friendship.
